„Got wood?“ - ja, unseres.
Das erste mal als ich die Website www.webdepiction.com sah, sagte ich noch zu Leif „Reg’ dich nicht auf. Ist doch schön wenn man beliebt ist…“. Für mich ist jedoch eindeutig, dass diese Website schlecht von www.signalfeuer.info geklaut ist.
Hallo Holzdiebe!
Heute habe ich dann auf der Website-Galerie www.desingmeltdown.com unter der Rubrik „Got wood?“ wieder eine unserer Lieblingswebsites gefunden.
Ich fand ja witzig, dass Leif diesen Post geschrieben hatte aber jetzt find ich’s dann auch blöd. Eigentlich bin ich ja keine Petze aber durch Schatten oben und Verlauf unten ist es eindeutig unsere Textur. Leif hatte Web Depiction freundlich darauf hingewiesen das man sehr gut erkennt woher das Design stammt und das die Holztextur außerdem lizensiert ist (hier: Holzvergleich) - aber heute hab ich dann mal eine Mail an iStockphoto.com geschrieben und gepetzt.
Unter „About“ steht übrigens über Hannah, die Designerin, dass sie als Kind schon immer Clown werden wollte… das fand ich dann wieder lustig.
So - ich geh’ jetzt Holz hacken ;-)

Glad to know I’m famous, although I would have rather had my fame on other terms.
You have a right to post, but I still don’t appreciate the accusation. Is it against the law to add shadows to wood images bought from iStockPhoto?
If I had wanted to copy Signalfure, I would have.

i don’t want to be in conflict with you. In my eyes the analogy between the two websites (not only the wood texture) is very strong. If you say the design of the website is not stolen - then we have accidentally the same idea and the same wood.
I wish you all the best for your future - and happy webdesign.

Ist natürlich schon ärgerlich, aber andererseits gleicht es auch einem Ritterschlag, wenn andere von einem abkupfern…
abgesehen davon, eure grafische Umsetzung des “Duo-Blogs” gefällt mir gut! Und ne nette Schreibe habt ihr auch :) So, genug geschleimt. Herzliche Grüße aus München, Birgit
